INVESTMENT TEAM

David is a Director of TTP Ventures and focuses on electronic device and semiconductor businesses and manages our investments in Cambridge Semiconductor, Azuro, Ocuity and Asic Ahead.

David has ten years experience in business development and technology exploitation in a broad range of industries.  In the early 1990s he founded a business providing advice on the application of broadband telecommunications in the automotive industry.  He began his industrial career at an automotive design and engineering consultancy where he was responsible for commercialisation of new technology.

He has a First Class honours degree in Physics from Imperial College, London, a PhD in Theoretical Physics and has held a post doctoral research position in high performance computing.

Since joining TTP Ventures, Clennell has focused on electronics and telecommunications related businesses.  He is currently an observer on the Boards of ZBD and ShoZu.

Clennell was also Board observer with Alphamosaic, which we sold to Broadcom in September 2004 for $123m.

He has a first class BA and MEng degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and has completed the year long Postgraduate Course in Design, Manufacture and Management (also at Cambridge).

Sergi joined TTP Ventures in August 2008 as an Investment Associate. His main focus is on early-stage cleantech and IT investment opportunities.  He works closely with the rest of the team on deal sourcing, execution and portfolio management.

Prior to joining TTP Ventures, Sergi spent four years at 3i in London / Cambridge.  He started as an Analyst in Marketing and later on joined 3i’s Venture Capital team as an Associate.  He also held research and sales positions with VentureOne.  Sergi has an MBA from London Business School, an MSc from the London School of Economics and graduated from the Autonomous University of Barcelona with a BA in International Relations.
