TTP Ventures
provides venture capital for early stage science and technology companies
based in the UK and other Western European countries. It is a member
of TTP Group, one of Europe’s most successful innovation
companies. Access to the wide ranging experience and contacts of
TTP’s people helps us to contribute a high degree of added value to the
businesses we invest in, as do our relationships with the investors in our
fund. These include Siemens Venture Capital.
Sectors of interest to us
include:
 |
telecommunications,
information technology and electronics; |
 |
high technology
engineering and instrumentation; |
 |
healthcare,
medical devices and drug discovery technology; |
 |
materials and
chemicals. |
We typically invest £0.5m to £3m
per company, but can also make seed capital investments of as little as £50,000.
So far our first
fund has had three successful exits - Element 14 ($250m), Alphamosaic
($123m) and Oxford Diffraction ($37m).
Companies must usually have
strong proprietary technology and good international growth potential. They must either be at an early stage in the development of their
business, or undergoing a transition, for example, from a contract
strategy to one based on developing and marketing their own products. Where there is significant long-term growth potential, we can
also invest in ‘soft’ companies offering specialised R&D services.
We have particular expertise in
spin outs from large organisations.
If you have high aspirations for
your business, and believe we can help you achieve them, contact any of
our investment team.
